Between pressure waves
10–15 min
Solo
3
Integrate and reset before the next wave arrives.
Use this when a decision has landed and the pressure has eased enough to think.
Time 10–15 minutes · Format Solo · Moment Between pressure waves
The meeting is over. The call has been made. This is the window where thinking opens back up.
Between waves is where you regain perspective, notice where thinking narrowed, clear decision residue, and strengthen what held up.
This is not the moment to re-argue the decision. It's the moment to integrate and reset.
You don't need to do everything. Pick one step. Spend 10–15 minutes. Then stop.
Step 1 · Capture the moment (2–3 min)
Write plainly. No polishing.
Prompt | Notes |
The decision or moment that carried the most weight
Where pressure peaked | |
What felt most constrained or urgent |
Step 2 · Notice where thinking narrowed (5 min)
This is pattern recognition, not self-critique.
Prompt | Notes |
What options disappeared under pressure?
What did urgency push you toward?
What did you stop seeing at the time?
What felt non-negotiable, but maybe wasn't? |
If nothing jumps out, stop here. That's fine.
Step 3 · Identify what held up (3–5 min)
This is what you carry forward.
Prompt | Notes |
What worked better than expected?
What support or structure helped?
Which part of the decision still feels sound?
What would you repeat next time? |
Step 4 · Make one small adjustment (5 min max)
Between waves is not for big resets. Look for a 5% shift: one boundary, one check, one conversation, one decision rule, or one support to put in place earlier next time.
Prompt | Notes |
One small adjustment | |
Where it applies | |
When I'll use it next |
Put it in place. Then stop.
If you have more headspace
- Balance in Motion helps if the waves keep coming and there's no real pause between them.
- The Clearing Day helps if you need a proper step back.
If pressure is live again
Looping. Urgency returning. The pull to decide fast, or to avoid deciding. That's thinking narrowing in again.
This is no longer a reflection moment. Go back to Which Pressure Pattern Are You In? or The 30-Minute Micro Plan.
One sound step. Then back to the mahi.
Want support with what came up?
If you want to be ready before your own stormy day arrives, a Strategic Orientation conversation is a good place to start. No preparation required, just twenty minutes to work out the right next step together.
